Summer 2019

It appears the summer went by and I documented NONE of it! So here is some proof we were busy this summer!

July 4th fun in the sun.

Cora turned THREE!
Oh sweet baby girl. You are full of music and love to dance and sing.
You play hard and tantrum hard.
Those three year old emotions are out and you FEEL them.
But my goodness that smile and your cuddles could melt any heart.

We went camping at Ft. Stevens!
Jack hadn't been camping since he was 18 months old, and it was Cora's first trip!
They both had a BLAST.
It was hard to get to sleep (since sleeping in tents and sleeping bags is SO MUCH FUN), but once they were asleep, they slept well.

We have some new owl friends in our home.
Jack gave Izzy to Cora at her 3rd birthday party.
Ollie came to us soon after (when Jack was having a hard time TRULY giving away Izzy to sis)
Oh and Lucia came to us during Cora's birthday too.
Here the kids built our new owl family members a habitat.

Jack practicing writing his name while Mom is baking.

Jack lost his first tooth!!! (Daddy yanked it. Aaaannd then he yanked tooth #2 about 2 weeks later)

We went on our annual Black Butte trip and the cousins popped in to visit too!!!!

Cora MASTERED the balance bike while we were there
(She gets going so fast it's a little terrifying at times)

Though not seen here, JACK SWAM ON HIS OWN!
I am SO stinkin' proud of him.
After a year of being timid and hesitant in swim lessons, when let go on his own, he just went for it.
SO proud.

We visited Aunt Mary and Uncle Ken and tried our hand at fishing.
No we didn't catch anything.

JACK IS IN KINDERGARTEN!
😭😭 😭😭
We're adjusting to the routine and Jack is thriving and loving Kindergarten.
He was ready to grow up and be a big kindergartner.
Love you bud and so proud of you.

Sharing with Cora what he learned at school :)

Learning to enjoy our morning walks to school.

We grew giant sunflowers again and it was so much fun.
The whole neighborhood seemed to enjoy them.

While summer was fun, we also had to say goodbye to our sweet sweet GG Faye.
We love you. We miss you. So. Much.

Thank you for loving us so well while you were here with us.
