Happy 1st Birthday Jack!!!

Happy Birthday to you,

Happy Birthday to Jack,

Happy Birthday to you!

Oh my Jack.

How you've grown.

Today we celebrated you're entrance to the world.

You keep every day exciting and new.

We love watching you discover.

We love hearing you laugh.

We love you.

We had a "homemade" Sesame Street birthday party for you today.

It feels SO over stated, but the year truly has gone so fast.

I try not to get over sentimental about it.

There was so much anxiety and unknown about how and when you would join our family.

Looking at how far you have come this year makes me teary.

We are so THANKFUL for your health and your joy.

A little party entertainment

Such big smiles even though you have a nasty cough and runny nose for your first birthday.

You just kind of looked around at us while we sang to you.

You seemed a bit confused about why we all burst out in song.

It was in your honor!

As for your first cake. You were hesitant at first.

Then you started getting into it

Then you found the balloons.

In the end, I think you played with the cake and ice cream more than you ate it.

Despite not feeling well, I think Jack really enjoyed his first birthday party.

We sure love you Jack.

A walk in the Park

We've been taking advantage of unusually warm January weather and going to the park!

Jack accidentally shut himself into the bathroom, but then was not pleased about it

This is an activity I call Jack in the box.
Since he is on the move now, it's sometimes necessary to contain him.
On this day he was playing with a box full of cloth fortune cookies Aunt Kathy made for January last year to help me count down the days until Jack would make his arrival.

These two could play like this for days.
Jack is entertained and Bailey likes the safety behind the glass door so Jack can't pull her ears or fur or pick between her toes!

So Long 2014

What a year it has been.

January- Bed rest

February- Jack arrived!

March- Jack came home

April- No one slept for more than 5 hours at a time

May- Road trip to Idaho

June- Christine returned to work

July- Jack's first trip to the zoo!

August- Jack's first trip to the coast

September- Started Jack on real food

October- Jack was a turtle for Halloween

November- Steve spoiled us with Pecan Pie

December- Santa came!

Our year has been full of changes and challenges and cuteness. Words cannot describe how thankful we are for our many blessings.

Here is a little photo collage of my favorite 2014 moments.
Kind of an odd selection, but every picture represents a moment when my heart was full.
Some moments are noteworthy, others just a moment in a day.

Santa Claus came to town

Me oh my, Christmas has flown right by.

December was a busy month.

Here are my favorite pictures from all the happenings.

Jack LOVED the lights on the tree. Standing on the couch with daddy playing with ornaments on the tree was hugely popular with Jack.
