This and That

Jack takes a nap on his new blanket from Great Granny Aline! He better be careful though, Mama might steal it away

We got outside and Jack supervised my weeding.

Then Grammy came over to hang with Jack for a bit so Mama could mow the lawn. They went outside for a short stroll.

Then he needed a nap.

Since he had done so much yard work and walking about, he needed a bath later.
He's always been a fan of the bath.

Waiting to get his hairs scrubbed and a head massage :)

He LOVES the warm water just running on him.

Once I realized this photo needed flipped, I couldn't figure it out once it had gotten to the photo editing stage. So turn your head to check out burrito baby.

All clean!

Doing sit ups with Daddy

We are facing a serious storage issue. I have a bucket....
...and a basket full in the main freezer.

And 2 more buckets in the extra freezer. Once I fill up the basket I'm going to have to take milk traveling to other freezers.

I am working on "a day in the life" post. Stay tuned. It might be interesting in a repetitive/boring kind of way. Get prepared to be underwhelmed by the excitement :)

April Sunshine

Are these not the cutest? Best friend Jessica has got some skills!
She had to have spent 20,000 kagillion hours making these name/number/symbol blocks.
I adore them :)
I just need to install a shelf in Jack's room to put them on!

I think I have a little more variety in pictures this week:) Jack has been a busy man.

This one is just to appreciate his chubby little wrists.
Little man officially weighs in at 10lbs 15oz as of Friday.

Lunch time.
Mama let the light in

Just because he's cute when he sleeps

Sporting his track suit, also from BFF Jessica.
She spoils him :)

This is the face we often get post feeding.
Do I want more? Should I close my mouth 'cuz I'm full? Should I open it 'cuz I want more?

Helping mama do dishes and prepare dinner.
He keeps an eye on me.

Napping outside today. It's just WAY too nice to stay in.
Plus the trees are absolutely mesmerizing to watch.

Out on a lunch date with Mama and Grammy.
It was Mama's reward for going to the dentist.
yes, i do believe i still deserve a reward for surviving the dentist,
and lunch at elephant's deli is what always fits the bill.

Outside again with mama but it was a little cooler today and Jack appreciated sharing body heat to keep the cool edge off.
And I don't mind the cuddles

Post bath fuzzy hair.
We are still trying to decide what color it is.
Sometimes it looks just plain old brown, but then other times there seems to be lots of red in it.
What do you think?

Here we are, waiting for Daddy to come home.
The welcoming crew.

Bailey the babysitter

She's good

Jack went in for his 2 month appointment last week.
We're doubling up on his meds now for reflux and that seems to be helping.
He looks like a healthy boy though!
He got his first round of vaccines too, and that has made for a fussy cuddly boy.
 Moby wrap to the rescue!
Jack pretty much spent the whole day in this Saturday.
Mama was thankful to have it!
It is a total arm and back saver and allows me to still be a little bit productive around the house too.

Steve made great progress in organizing the garage. He put up new wall storage to hold wood for future projects so it's up off the floor. He also installed a shelf to hold all his bench top tools.
It's not the shop of his dreams, but it makes this "for now" space much more workable.
He can keep his dreams alive for a real shop later down the road.

The crib is getting closer.
It's currently hanging up in the garage getting layers of paint!

Here is the painting booth.

I'm excited to see the end product and finally be able to have a crib in his room!
Jack's rocky road he took to join the world interrupted Steve's progress and he's been working hard to get it finished!
I'm quite impressed with the final result and looking forward to sharing it with you when it's all complete!

Stay tuned for that update. It shouldn't be long.

2 months

 Oh hi, welcome back :)

We have been trying to stay above water here.
Jack developed quite the case of reflux which made meal times and in between really fussy and uncomfortable for him. After a trip to the doctor's office, we tried Zantac, but that didn't seem to make any diffierence, and instead, we noticed things were getting worse and it was getting harder and harder to get ANYTHING in him. We considered  2oz in 40 minutes a HUGE success.
So we recently switched to Prilosec and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!
He's calming down and handling eating much better. Now we'd love it if he could tolerate larger feeds so we could go longer stretches of time between feeds.

Steve has also been battling a cold, so we are doing our best to avoid each other. Jack and I live on one side of the house, Steve on the other. We don't want Jack getting sick!!!!

Here are the pictures I've managed to capture when we're not doing that whole eating and changing diapers stuff.

You can't tell in the picture, but the right side of the pack'n'play is at about a 30 degree angle. This is to help Jack with his reflux at night time.
I'm thinking it doesn't help as much when he squirms his way down the ramp and ends up turned and flat at the bottom.

Straining his head around to watch the ladies on The View. I had him facing the other direction and sneeky Jack just had to have things go his own way.

We're working hard to keep those double chins growing!
He has officially reached 10 pounds though!

My sister brought her kiddos over to play one day. Grammy stopped by too and got a picture with both Grandsons.

Enjoying more tummy time on Mommy. His activities aren't varied much.

Tried to get a cute 2 month picture. Instead we ended up with the many faces of Jack.

Little man showing off his relaxing skills. Always elevated a bit... nasty reflux.
See, the reflux has influenced every area of life.

Jack got to go to his first birthday party too! His cousin Hannah turned TWO!
She had a Minnie Mouse party and Jack mostly showed off his stellar sleeping through anything abilities pretty much the whole time we were at the party.
Opening presents

Birthday girl wearing her Minnie Mouse bow

Lisa showing off the HOME MADE cake. She's got skills.

Birthday girl blowing out her candles.

That's what's new in our lives lately!
